MACC invited to explain 'double standards' in MO1, Beng Hock's cases

An NGO has invited the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to explain its supposed double standards in its investigation into the "Malaysian Official 1" (MO1) case and the rigorous grilling of Teoh Beng Hock.

The Teoh Beng Hock Trust for Democracy said the MACC's treatment of MO1 was in stark contrast to what was done to Teoh, a former DAP political secretary who was grilled by the MACC and was later found dead outside its Shah Alam headquarters.

It wants MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad to answer this question at a forum it is organising, titled "Reforming MACC: A Road to Good Governance and Human Rights", to be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 16...
