KINI ROUNDUP | Here are the key headlines you may have missed yesterday, in brief.

Cabinet ministers drub Nazri over tax row

Tourism and Culture Minister Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz got a drubbing from his cabinet colleagues, including Works Minister Fadilah Yusof, yesterday for his remarks against Sarawak's Tourism Minister Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

Federal ministers from Sabah Abdul Rahman Dahlan and Anifah Aman also weighed in, saying the issue could have been dealt with more tact and diplomacy.

However, Nazri was unrepentant, saying he does not care what Fadillah thought; and went on to call Rahman a new minister.

Nazri also supported the move by the Sarawak state government to withdraw its representatives from the board of Tourism Malaysia.

DAP claimed that the spat with Nazri was just shadow play, aimed at building support for Sarawak BN in the Pujut by-election. It also questioned whether Sabah and Sarawak federal ministers opposed the tax in cabinet.

Grab driver nabbed over alleged rape

Police said they have arrested a 30-year-old Grab driver for allegedly raping a woman passenger in Seri Kembangan yesterday.

Grab said it would be providing support to the victim while expediting the implementation of a panic button for users.

Meanwhile, police said they have completed a probe into the beating of an Uber driver, who allegedly molested a woman in Penang.
