Saudi Arabian King Salman Abdul Aziz Al Saud's silence on the RM2.6 billion donation has been exploited by both supporters and detractors of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Najib's supporters argued that the monarch would not have set foot on Malaysian soil or remained silent if Najib's claim of the collosal sum being a donation from a Saudi royalty was fraudulent.

On Wednesday, Lim Kit Siang argued that King Salman's silence on the RM2.6 billion donation during his four-day visit to Malaysia was a grave blow for Najib.

"The Saudi silence during the recent visit of King Salman to Malaysia, refusing to declare that the donation came from Saudi royal family, is loud and resounding.

"But the Saudi silence is most ominous and a grave blow to the integrity of the prime minister and good governance in Malaysia," Lim had said.

However, Ampang Umno division leader Ismail Kijo described the DAP veteran's remark as Lim's most “dungu” (idiotic) to date.
