Student group Kesatuan Mahasiswa Malaysia (Kesatuan) lamented the latest action being taken against a student from a public university for alleged involvement in last year's "Tangkap MO1" rally.

"After 11 students faced disciplinary actions in 2016, this year saw the fight for human rights began in dour mood with one more student due to face proceedings for alleged involvement in the 'Tangkap MO1' and Bersih 5 rallies," said Kesatuan chairperson Anis Syafiqah Md Yusof in a statement today.
