The public petition urging the White House to reveal the identity of Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) from the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ) 1MDB-linked civil lawsuit has failed to garner enough signatures by its deadline.

The petition, which was started on Nov 24, closed today with 25,986 signatures out of the required 100,000 signatures.

The White House is only obligated to respond to any petition that has collected 100,000 signatures or more in 30 days.
