Ibrahim, one can’t be pro-Islam and pro-racism

YOURSAY | ‘I don't think Ibrahim Ali fully understands what he said.’

Ibrahim Ali: I'd rather die than betray the bumi, Islam

Vijay47: Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali, from your interview, it appears that apart from your solid devotion to being a true Muslim and Malay, you are equally guided by intense humility since you seem convinced that you by yourself could win over any number of votes to any cause if only you chose to do so.

And now that you have stated your unwavering commitment to race and religion, the hallmark of all natural-born Malay politicians, nobody can or should argue with you.

Regarding your desire to embark on maritime activities, perhaps you can seek the involvement of ‘Bomoh Two Coconuts’ who has refined sailing into an art to be accomplished even on terra firma and without benefit of boats.

Finally, about your statement of dying alone, sad to say, your wish may just come true.

Odysseus: I don't think Ibrahim Ali fully understands what he said. Islam is a religion of peace which embraces people of all races and respect all other religions.

If he is truly pro-Islam, he should be the first to stand up and voice out against NEP (New Economic Policy) which segregates the people in this country by the colour of their skin.

He is beginning to sound more like an Umno goon who depends on ‘dedak’ (animal feed) to survive.

Anonymous_1421806811: It looks like Perkasa is becoming obsolete being neither here nor there and unwilling to take sides in the fight against oppression and corruption.

If he truly fights for Malays, he should be condemning the mismanagement of mainly Malay-held public funds like KWAP (Retirement Fund Inc) and Tabung Haji.

If he is truly fighting for Islam than he should know very well that oppression is worse than murder and spreading corruption is extremely wrong. So, what is he actually fighting for?

James_3392: Ibrahim Ali, the rakyat's money - also the bumi money and is meant for the development of bumiputera poor - is being swindled by the billions, and this is not betrayal of the Malays and Islam?

Who is behind this theft of such colossal scale? Are they not the party you are in close association with?

CQ Muar: Wow, look who's talking! Even US presidential candidate Donald Trump would cringe listening to Ibrahim Ali’s "principles" and whatnot.

Anyone who pays attention to this erratic, self-style leader must belong to a class of idiosyncrasies like him.

Sarawakian: Ibrahim Ali, the politicians who genuinely care about the Malays and Islam have seen the light and moved on to Bersatu and Amanah, including Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Muhyiddin Yassin.

Only the non-genuine types like PM Najib Razak or PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang are still around harping about race and religion. You must be very dim, or do you also have a hidden agenda like them?

The Analyser: Sarawakian, in turn I will ask you who are "the politicians who genuinely care about the Malays and Islam have seen the light and moved on to Bersatu and Amanah"?

You quote Mahathir and Muyhiddin yet they were both agencies of the use of Islam to repress the Malays, in fact they both prospered and profited by maintaining Malay repression. Anyone from Amanah is an ex-PAS Islamist repressor.

If you could present me with a politician who genuinely cared about Malaysians, you would have a politician who cared about the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians equally.

But as there is not one political party who cares about Malaysians, so I must presume there are no politicians who care about Malaysians.

I have my doubts that there are many Malaysians who care about Malaysians... Selfishness is too rampant for that to occur

And would Ibrahim Ali please list the principles involved in being pro-Islam and pro-bumi? I'm confused because I didn't realise that being bigoted and intolerant, mindless and divisive are widely regarded as principles.

Anonymous 23651434356067: If you want to be alone, be alone as you wish. It only shows how shallow-minded you are.

In the first place, all human beings are interdependent. Just keep on harping on one race only brings more division within a society. Some of us continue to wonder why there are still human beings who continue to divide us into so many groups.

What?MeWorry: Is Ibrahim Ali still a relevant figure in our country's political landscape, chaotic as it is?

No political party in Malaysia should touch this man even with a long long pole unless they don't care about losing many votes.

SusahKes: Every now and then, the frog jumps out from the swamp it inhabits, catches a fly or two, maybe even keep a lookout for a mate to extend its progeny, and after business has been conducted, jumps right back into the mud.

Then it calls for a press conference to tell the whole world, what life-changing, earth-shattering activities it just did.

I wonder whether Nat Geo (National Geographic channel), would be interested in giving this frog, a slot in one of its documentary, no?

GE14Now!: We agree with you, Ibrahim Ali - we would rather that you do what you said you would rather do. And please do so quickly.
