Selangor DAP has reported its sacked Telok Datuk assemblyperson Loh Chee Heng to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), said state DAP chief Tony Pua.

Pua's announcement came after DAP disciplinary committee chairperson Tan Kok Wai earlier today announced Loh's sacking from the party for purportedly misusing state allocation for his constituency.

"Based on our findings, Selangor DAP had filed a report with the MACC for their further investigation.

"The report was filed with Selangor MACC in Shah Alam on Wednesday, May 11, 2016," Pua said in a statement today.

Pua said Selangor DAP had set up a committee to investigate Loh's (photo) matter for eight weeks and later forwarded it to party's disciplinary committee which resulted in today's sacking.

"Selangor DAP would like to reiterate the party’s commitment in upholding our core values in promoting good governance, integrity and accountability.

"We will not tolerate any actions by any of its leaders or members which betrays the trust of the people we seek to represent and destroy the credibility of the party," he said.

Loh had appeared before the disciplinary committee to explain himself but the panel did not appear satisfied as they unanimously decided to terminate his party membership.

Loh won the Telok Datuk seat by a 5,391-vote majority against MCA's Tan Cheng Chai and independent candidate Hamzah Abu Bakar in the 2013 general election.
