Teo Nie Ching, the incumbent Serdang MP, is expected to move down south to Kulai, Johor as the DAP continues its assault in a state which is seen as a BN and Umno bastion.

According to party insiders, Teo's name is expected to be announced tonight by party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

If what is rumoured is true, it would be a homecoming of sorts for Teo, who hails from Batu Pahat.

It has been reported that either DAP national publicity secretary Tony Pua or Teo will be contesting in the Kulai parliamentary seat which has 56 percent Chinese voters, the highest in Johor. Both have previously offered to contest in the Kulai parliamentary seat.

NONE Pua ( right ) was initially rumoured to contest in Kulai, but it is understood that Teo's name is now in favour.

However, there is a possibility of last-minute changes before the party secretary-general makes the announcement tonight.

Already, DAP has maintained its attack in Johor with DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang squaring off with Umno strongman Abdul Ghani Othman in Gelang Patah. The other big name from DAP being party strategist Liew Chin Tong who will contest in Kluang.

With this, Pua is expected to defend his Petaling Jaya Utara seat, whereas Selangor exco caretaker Teresa Kok is expected to relinquish one of her seats.

Kok is the incumbent Seputeh MP and also the Bandar Kinrara assemblyperson.
