vox populi small thumbnail 'Najib is giving everyone a lesson in psychological warfare. When the report is finally released, it will be a verdict of suicide.'

Two years on, 'nightmare' not over for Teoh's family

2cts worth: PM Najib Razak, please release the RCI (royal commission of inquiry) report. Teoh Beng Hock's family needs it to end further agony and move on. Your credibility is sinking every minute of the day by your careless attitude. This is not only a grave injustice but a sadistic cruelty as well.

What was the purpose of having a RCI? Do you have some sordid secrets to conceal? This seems to be the perception for the report to remain thus concealed. I believe you will bungle your way out of your premiership.

Kazakh: Is Najib and MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) trying to negotiate for a watered-down version of an unflattering RCI report?

Will the royal commission members allow themselves to be bought to save those whose hands are red with the blood of Teoh Beng Hock? Is it because it's close to GE13 and a negative report is not going to be good for Umno-BN?

Onyourtoes: We shall never forget until the whole truth about Teoh's death is revealed. This is too much, I think this government does not know what justice is; they do not know they are rubbing salt into the wound.

Anonymous_40f4: Najib is giving everyone a lesson in psychological warfare. When the report is finally released, it will be a verdict of suicide. Najib will go all out to protect the culprit who was only following orders from the top.

Black Mamba: Where are the voices of MCA and Gerakan leaders in this sad episode?

Ben Hor: Something is amiss here. The government might be withholding the RCI for two reasons. One, they are still in damage-control mode and they are trying to see if they can find a sacrificial lamb or cook up some other spin to the whole saga.

Or two, it is not time yet. The government will try to use it later as a diversion to other big on-going problems or maybe reveal it to gain public favour by showing that no crime goes unpunished.

Alan Goh: Honest and peace-loving Malaysians want to see a witness or a suspect walk into a MACC building through the main door and not walk out through the window, like the late Teoh Beng Hock and Customs officer Sarbaini Ahmad, what more for a miserable sum of RM2,400 in alleged corruption, when the Scorpene submarines' latest alleged third commission payment of 30 million euros goes unreported.

Lexicon: Teoh Lee Lan has done her late brother credit by reaching out to Sarbaini Ahmad's family and to all Malaysians. Malaysia has hope because of people like her, her late brother, and those who support the rakyat, like Bersih.

Loyal Malaysian: Najib, whither your pledge of leaving no stone unturned to get to the truth behind Teoh's death? Do you want to leave behind a legacy of unkept promises?

If you've grouses, square it out at the polls: PM

Gerard Samuel Vijayan: So in the PM's view an open and liberal democracy is not one of the hallmarks of a developed state? So his policies are only geared towards economic progress and wealth creation albeit tainted with corruption and abuses of power with a touch of nepotism and cronyism here and there, but the people must put up with a total negation of their fundamental freedoms and liberties that are taken for granted in any country that claims to be a democracy, so that Najib can transform the country - into what, a police state?

Democracy ala Umno is just an election every five years that is neither free or fair by international standards. And we the people must keep quiet until then and tolerate misgovernance which impacts directly on our lives like poverty, raising prices, low wages and declining standards of living.

Here it is the government that encourages and insidiously works to ensure that public protests spiral into violence and danger, with the help of the police, so that it can stay in power.

Dhammika: Don't talk nonsense, Najib. If the electoral system is reformed and the memorandum of Bersih is accepted, there is no need to square it out. You think the rakyat is blinded by your "You help me, I help you"?

Anakpulau: Najib, how can we square it off in the next general election when it is fought on an uneven field in your favour? That's why we need fair and clean elections.

Wazir: For Malaysians who know Najib for the honourable way he handled the Bersih 2.0 issue, you'd think he has lost his mind in the UK. But Najib is not as crazy as he sounds. He's in the UK looking for sympathy and trying very hard to make himself look like a regular nice guy whose government is troubled by a fringe group of anarchists.

Whether the rest of the world believes his spin is anyone's guess. He obviously doesn't give a rat's ass about what Malaysians think of him. He's got water cannon, tear gas, MACC, and control of the EC so he sleeps well at night.

Beetle: Mr PM, most unfortunately you are not squaring it up fairly with the opposition, but ‘rounding' it up with all your dirty and unfair tactics to win the election. That's why the rakyat are calling for a Bersih election. How long do you want to cheat the rakyat?

DannyLoHH : Najib's message is clear. The ruling regime will not clean up the election process; and there is no reason for him to do so.

The election constituents are so heavily gerrymandered in favour of BN that Pakatan Rakyat may have to win a whopping over 60 percent of votes in order to secure just over 50 percent of the seats.

Of course, Najib would like us to square it out at the polls that BN is destined to win.

Anonymous_40dd: Square it out at the rigged polls?
