I note with amusement that all the Western media have been addressing Osama bin Laden as 'bin Laden'. Muslims do not have a family name. Osama bin Laden simply means Osama 'son of' Laden. In fact his full name is Osama bin Muhammad bin Laden. Which means that Laden is his grandfather. He should be addressed as Osama bin Muhammad or simply as Osama.
If the West cannot appreciate or try to learn a simple thing such as how a person is addressed, I wonder if it is capable of preventing further terrorist attacks (assuming of course that Arab terrorists were involved), let alone help in the peace process in the Middle East?
