It is certainly enlightening to read Prof P Ramasamy's thought-provoking articles in malaysiakini . He has the Indians' best interests at heart.

Indians need to embrace the new millennium and if they want respect certain radical changes need to be made. Feel free to disagree. I believe in the freedom of speech to the full extent. I am an Indian myself and I know there is a small minority of Indians who agree to my suggestions below.

After all these years in Malaysia, Indians need to discard their language, as the tone and intonation are uncouth. The other races, including some Indians, cringe whenever they hear the language. It is perceived with disdain by the other races. Indians must learn to speak the English language in public but may use their mother tongue behind closed doors.

Also, ban all Tamil films, especially those with Rajnikanth in it. He is certainly a parasite who has single-handedly with his idiotic behavior and mannerisms encouraged violence, rape and melodrama in the Indian community. Indians should be encouraged to watch and embrace English films totally.

Tamil schools should be shut down immediately. All Indian children should be sent to English schools. What good are Tamil schools? Compare an Indian child who went to a good English school and one who studied in a Tamil school. What a difference!
