Frustrated with TMNets poor service
ADS

My frustrations with TMNet services go way back. Last month I terminated my TMNet email account as I have been receiving too many spam emails. My emails to TMNet for help was ignored.

On Friday Dec 5, 2003, a technician came to install Streamyx but we could not get connected as "the server was down". Realising the country's economy can "collapse" if Streamyx is down for more than half a day, I called the Streamyx installer's office and from that point I had to call nine different numbers to try to get my Streamyx online.

To my frustration, it seems that the telephone personnel were not well versed with the correct procedure. I was given different numbers to call only to hear them say "this is not my area". Ironically, the "correct" number was the Streamyx installer's office I first dialled.

My perseverance paid off - my Streamyx was online on the 8th. However, my emails to Streamyx support, sent on Dec 5 were replied only on Dec 15 - 10 days later! The standard of service by TMNet and Streamyx is miles behind those of a local mobile phone operator. What company can afford to give such poor service and still operate?
