MCA vice president, Chua Jui Meng's outburst against The Star is pure hypocrisy.

On one hand, he opposes the takeover of Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press by MCA, but on the hand, he said that " The Star is an MCA paper". Why only oppose MCA taking over two Chinese newspaper, while affirming the MCA ownership of the English-language Star ? Why the double standards?

Let us not to forget that Chua himself is a board member of Huaren which owns Nanyang Siang Pau, China Press and The Star . If he is for press freedom, he should resign immediately from the board of Huaren as a mark of principle.

Non-partisan Malaysians must also demand to know from Chua whether he thinks the Umno-owned New Straits Times, Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian, TV3 and RTM are fair to MCA Team A, DAP, PAS, Keadilan and PRM.
