PUCHONG, 2 October 2025 – When Malaysia Semiconductor Recruitment Day (MSRD) opens at KLCC, Hall 6 on 8–11 October (10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), jobseekers will find more than booths—they’ll step into a concentrated snapshot of a sector supercharged by AI-era demand. Running in conjunction with SDEC 2025 under the theme “AI × Semiconductor: Blitzscaling Malaysia’s Deep Tech,” the four-day hiring showcase brings 500+ vacancies from 30+ employers, spanning internships, fresh grad intakes and senior engineering roles. Admission is free.

A first cut of exhibitors features global names—AMD, NSW Inc, Texas Instruments, ST Microelectronics, Infineon, Supermicro—alongside a strengthening local tier including SkyeChip, Maistorage Technology, HexoSys, SMD Semiconductor, SOPHIC Automation, Tenasic Technology, Weeroc Space. and others to be announced. Organisers say the compact floor plan and dedicated stage are designed to move conversations quickly from introductions to technical depth.

“MSRD compresses months of job search into four high-signal days,” said Angel Low, General Manager of Advanced Semiconductor of Malaysia (ASEM). “Candidates meet hiring managers and engineers face-to-face, then step into sessions that mirror the real stacks they’ll use at work.”

Those sessions include Arm On-Demand Learning for rapid upskilling, a keynote by YBhg. Dato’ Lai Yit Loong, and a Synopsys Singapore Technical Update, with additional technical briefings by Cadence—content that doubles as both capability signalling for candidates and a live look at tools used across design, verification, and manufacturing.

To help set expectations, organisers are sharing indicative salary ranges provided by participating employers: RM5,000–RM6,000 for fresh graduates, and around RM7,000+ where a master’s degree aligns with relevant experience. While actual offers will vary by company and role, the guidance aims to make on-site discussions more productive.

For students and mid-career engineers, the advice is practical: bring printed and digital resumes, portfolio snippets (code, verification environments, PCB shots), and be ready with precise questions about toolchains, product lifecycle and success metrics at six months. For employers, the calculus is equally clear: MSRD combines top-of-funnel sourcing, brand building and first-round technical dialogue in one venue.

Students and early-career engineers who wish to attend are encouraged to pre-register to secure entry and session updates via: https://www.asemedu.com/go/msrdsidec
