Taiwan Excellence mascot, FuBear, has managed to set an amazing record at Taiwan Expo 2025 in Malaysia by completing 186 high-fives with 70 participants in one minute. The feat has earned it a spot in the Malaysian Book of Records under the title Most High-Fives in One Minute By A Costume Mascot.

This challenge is part of Taiwan Excellence’s ongoing “Give Me Five! A Better Life” global campaign and is a joint effort with First City University College, SAIEF Malaysia Fitness, non-profit community service organization REACH Segamat, and the NGO Malaysian Creative Sewing Arts Association (PSJKM). The idea behind the record is to connect people’s heart through high-fives and demonstrate Taiwan Excellence’s concept of Innovative Solutions for a Better Life.
FuBear is not only the super cute mascot for Taiwan Excellence, but represents the values of caring, inclusivity and innovation. Through the simple act of high fiving, it has connected 11 areas around the world from Malaysia and Indonesia, to across Europe and the USA, to convey the positive energy of sustainability, good health and charity.

FuBear made its first appearance in Kuala Lumpur at the Jom Heboh carnival in May and has been a hit with the public since. This time, it brought its popularity to the Taiwan Expo 2025 to promote public welfare. FuBear is cooperating with PSJKM to produce handmade environmentally friendly bags to support disadvantaged women and raise environmental awareness. With REACH Segamat, FuBear hopes to encourage autistic children to unleash their creativity by creating FuBear themed drawings which were then made into limited edition Touch ‘n Go cards to show off the beautiful inner world of the children. All fundraising proceeds will be donated to the REACH Segamat training centre to support the education of autistic children.
In addition to setting records and community services, Taiwan Excellence has also showcased 40 high-quality products by 27 award-winning companies at Taiwan Expo 2025. The products on display during the expo embody Taiwan’s strength in the fields of healthy living and smart innovation, and have no doubt brought new experiences to Malaysian industry and consumers.
FuBear’s journey of spreading love will not cease even after the expo. Starting from July, it will be visiting nursing homes and orphanages across Malaysia to spread the message of love and warmth.
