Batik Air is proud to announce the successful renewal of its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, reaffirming the airline’s ongoing dedication to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global trade association representing over 300 airlines, the IOSA certification is widely recognised as the airline industry’s most rigorous safety evaluation framework. It sets global benchmarks for aviation safety and operational efficiency by assessing an airline’s systems and procedures against a comprehensive set of harmonised standards and recommended practices.
The renewed certification, valid until 3 June 2027, was awarded following a comprehensive audit conducted under IATA’s enhanced Risk-Based Audit (RBA) framework. This refined methodology considers each airline’s unique operational profile and historical safety performance, allowing for a more targeted and effective assessment.
The audit is carried out by independent, IATA-accredited professionals and must be renewed biennially—underscoring the airline’s continuous commitment to compliance and improvement.
