The 2025 edition of the Taiwan Expo in Malaysia is set to take place from 23 to 25 June 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Over 200 Taiwanese exhibitors will showcase their products and services based on the five key themes: AI & Industry 4.0, Health & Wellness, Green & Sustainability, Smart Lifestyle, and Culture & Tourism.

This year marks the 8th edition of the Taiwan Expo in Malaysia. This event has garnered overwhelming support from 26 trade associations and chambers, including the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), the Small and Medium Enterprises Association (SME Malaysia), and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Malaysia (TWCHAM), among others. This strong backing from trade organisations reflects the deep grassroots ties between Malaysia and Taiwan.

In addition to exploring 10 thematic pavilions and featuring industrial zones, trade visitors can participate in one-on-one business matching, the AI Innovation Seminar and various industry-related workshops and presentations. The Expo aims to provide participants with the latest industrial trends, insights and diverse business opportunities from Taiwan – all under one roof.

Deputy Executive Director of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) Keven Cheng said that with much focus being on AI developments, the Taiwan Expo in Malaysia presents an opportunity for AI companies in Taiwan to showcase their innovations and real-world applications using AI.

“We have seen how AI applications can be used extensively, especially in the healthcare industry in Taiwan. We want to bring that application to Malaysia and showcase it, bringing more collaboration with Malaysia,” he said at the Taiwan Expo in Malaysia launching ceremony on 10 June 2025.

He also said that Malaysia is emerging regionally as a global semiconductor hub and a rising centre for digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia, and this innovative approach to technology could allow Malaysia and Taiwan to work together on technology relating to data centres, AI and industry 4.0.

He added that the 2025 Taiwan Expo in Malaysia is expected to have 10,000 visitors this year.

“Since its launch in 2017, the Taiwan Expo in Malaysia has attracted over 1,200 Taiwanese companies participating in this expo. This annual event has been highly successful, drawing approximately 160,000 visitors and generating more than USD 400 million in business opportunities,” he said.

The launching ceremony event, which was also attended by Phoebe Yeh, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, as well as representatives from Malaysian trade associations and chambers, also saw previews of Taiwanese products and innovations being showcased, a sneak peek of what is to come for the upcoming Taiwan Expo.

Taiwan Expo 2025 will be held from 23 to 25 June in Halls 4 and 5 of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The three-day event will be open daily from 10am to 6pm, with free admission. Trade visitors who engage in business discussions with participating exhibitors will have the chance to win round-trip air tickets to Taiwan. Business owners and the public interested in establishing trade relationships with Taiwanese companies are warmly invited to attend the Expo.
