The International Strategy Institute (ISI) is pleased to announce that Tan Sri Azam Baki, Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), has officially confirmed his attendance at the World Anti-Corruption Conference (WACC) 2025, which will be held this July in the United Kingdom.

Tan Sri Azam has been a steadfast supporter of the conference since its early stages as the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Forum (MACF). His consistent dedication to upholding institutional integrity and fostering international collaboration continues to inspire and reinforce ISI’s mission of promoting greater transparency and accountability worldwide.

Also confirmed to attend is Dato’ Sri Shamshun Baharin bin Mohd Jamil, Director General of the National Anti-Financial Crime Centre (NFCC). Under his leadership, the NFCC will act as one of the official supporting organisations of WACC 2025. This highlights the critical role of cross-agency collaboration in tackling financial crime and promoting institutional reform.

“We are honoured to have the continued support of Tan Sri Azam Baki and Dato’ Sri Shamshun Baharin. Their commitment reflects Malaysia’s leadership in the global anti-corruption movement,” said Cheah Chyuan Yong, Chairman of the International Strategy Institute. “As WACC 2025 approaches, we are more determined than ever to build a platform that drives accountability, reform, and collective action.”

Since its inception, WACC has grown into a prominent forum that brings together senior officials from governments, anti-corruption agencies, civil society, academia, and the private sector. From its origins in Kuala Lumpur to recent editions in Jakarta (2023) and Bangkok (2024), the conference has facilitated high-level dialogue on enforcement strategies, policy innovation, and the role of civil society and technology in promoting clean governance. Past participants have included representatives from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

WACC 2025 will mark the conference’s most ambitious edition yet reflecting a renewed global momentum for transparency, accountability, and cross-border cooperation in tackling corruption.
