KPJ Healthcare Berhad (“KPJ Healthcare” or “the Group”) continues to strengthen its commitment to expanding healthcare service accessibility through the opening of a new Information and Physiotherapy Centre, DIPC in Desaru, Johor. The centre offers closer, easily accessible and patient-centred care to the community in the Southern Region.

This initiative aims to improve access to quality healthcare services, particularly for communities that previously had limited options for specialist treatment.

Located within the rapidly developing Desaru-Pengerang corridor, the centre is ready to benefit local residents as well as the growing population, including investors, professional workers and tourists. As an international tourist destination and a strategic development zone, Desaru has experienced growth that also drives increasing demand for efficient and comprehensive healthcare services.

Located within the rapidly developing Desaru-Pengerang corridor, the Information and Physiotherapy Centre is ready to benefit local residents as well as the growing population, including investors, professional workers and tourists.

The centre provides a range of rehabilitation services such as physiotherapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy and respiratory therapy. It also offers comprehensive support services, including appointment coordination, community health education and travel and accommodation assistance for international patients.

More than just a treatment facility, this centre functions as a health information hub that delivers systematic health education, aligning with KPJ’s aspiration to build a healthier, health-literate and resilient community.

Chin Keat Chyuan, President and Managing Director of KPJ Healthcare, said, “Desaru is a high-potential area with a growing healthcare need in line with local demographic and economic growth. Through this centre, we aim for a closer, more patient-focused approach, in line with our ‘Care for Life’ philosophy that guides us in providing relevant, quality and effective services to the community.”

The centre is staffed by two physiotherapists and an experienced information officer, who will ensure every patient receives safe, accurate and holistic treatment in accordance with KPJ’s standards of service.

Zairul Adilla Hj Zaini, Pengerang Municipal Council Secretary (second from right), experiences one of the physiotherapy machines during his visit to the Desaru Information and Physiotherapy Centre (DIPC).

The opening of this centre in Desaru marks another positive step in KPJ Healthcare’s expansion plan, aligned with ongoing efforts to deliver sustainable, inclusive healthcare services that support community well-being. This initiative also complements the ongoing transformation driven by KPJ Health System, which emphasises patient experience, clinical excellence and a more comprehensive approach to healthcare.
