Tuan Ibrahim: Even without PAS, Harapan still riddled with problems

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has claimed that Pakatan Harapan is still riddled with internal problems despite the absence of the Islamist party in the coalition.

Previously, he said PAS was accused of being the source of all the differences in Harapan's predecessor Pakatan Rakyat.

However, Tuan Ibrahim said Harapan's bickering since the Sarawak state election up until the current debate on who would be the prime minister's candidate proved otherwise.

“Without PAS, they had all sorts of differences. So it is clear that the accusation against PAS was untrue.

“The internal battle in Harapan is expected to intensify when the time comes to fight for seats," he said, as reported in Harakah Daily today.

PKR has already declared that they will not give up their seats to anyone, he pointed out, while DAP is expected to follow the same logic.

This is exactly the same stand made by PAS, he said, but when PAS said it, they were accused as being arrogant by other Pakatan Harapan parties.

PAS has also said that any opposition parties who field candidates in seats that traditionally contested by PAS is only helping Umno-BN, he said.

"Expet PKR and DAP to make the same statement soon.

"That will not be odd, because that is the reality and PAS has faced this reality," Tuan Ibrahim said.
