PKR thanks Hadi for sharing 'true intentions'

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution snidely thanked PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang for seemingly revealing PAS' true intentions in a recent speech in Terengganu, where he was recorded as saying PAS is keen on five states only and Umno can take the rest if it wants.

Urging members against Umno bashing, Hadi said PAS would take them all if it could, but is only focusing on Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor and Perak.

Meanwhile, Permatang Pauh PAS cuts ties with PKR there, claiming that PKR was trying to entice its members to leave the party by dangling government posts.

In a related matter, responding to contradicting views between PAS president and deputy president, party vice-president Idris Ahmad said Hadi's stand against working with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, if it joins Pakatan Harapan, carries more weight.

PM decries fake news

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak reminds the people to check every article shared online by opposition politicians, citing the proliferation of "fake news".

He also denies that Malaysia is among the top 10 most corrupt countries in the world, and blames his "enemies" for spreading such lies.

Meanwhile, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli welcomes former senator Ezam Mohd Nor's willingness to take on Najib in his stronghold in Pekan but reminded Ezam it is best if someone who can truly cripple Najib does so.

New Jong-nam murder suspects

Police have identified new suspects in the Kim Jong-nam murder case, including North Koreans and an "important person", inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar said.

Khalid refused to provide details of how many new suspects had been identified, but said police are looking to apprehend them soon.
