In the midst of olive branches, ultimatums and deadlines given by opposition parties to each other in the largely stalled discussions to form a unified front, PKR has offered itself to be the 'glue' that will help hold them all together.

"PKR stands ready to play its role in strengthening the political coalition of progressive parties and to enhance the level of cooperation and partnership to an even higher level,in the name of fulfilling the people’s legitimate expectations," said party deputy president Azmin Ali in a statement today.

He reasoned that only a proper consensus among the political parties, NGOs and individuals who are committed to reform, can lead to a strong opposition that will deliver the change that the people are hoping for.

"Change that will hopefully deliver the people from the present grip of an economic crisis and a breakdown of governance which is causing not only suffering but also putting our national pride and honour at stake.
