Who is the U-turn king, Dr M or Najib?
ADS

YOURSAY | ‘I thought in 2015 our beloved PM said he would sue the Wall Street Journal?’

Najib: I don’t call him ‘Tun’ Mahathir, but ‘U-turn’ Mahathir

Dark Times: Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, you are the sitting PM of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir Mohamad is an ex-PM. You cannot talk like that, it’s not civil and does not justify your position as premier.

Worldly Wise: Dr Mahathir was given the 'Tun' title after all his terms as prime minister expired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Making fun of the title is offensive to the Agong.

Nobrain: ‘Tun’ is the highest title given by the Agong. No one can change it. To change a person’s title given by the Agong is uncivil and unethical.

Hopeless: If other people had said that, it would have been considered an insult to the royalty. Probably they would have been arrested or would be demanded to apologise publicly.

Whatshappening: We should appreciate if people make a U-turn and change for the better. And it’s good when a person realises the mistakes and try to make good. We should respect Dr Mahathir and thank him for all the good he has done for the country. Looks like our PM and Dr M can never be good together again, as it would then be called a ‘U-turn’. So sad.

Feddup: When a person realises his mistakes, he should have the guts to ‘make a U-turn’. The thieves in power have no guts and they continue to steal our money and divide us with their racist propaganda.

Mafeeah: This remark only goes to show how low class Najib is. When you were in Umno Youth, what did you say about the Chinese? So that makes you the super king of U-turns, doesn’t it?

Victor Johan: Najib, in 1987 when you were the Umno Youth chief giving your ‘declaration-of-war’ speech at the open stadium at Jalan Raja Muda, Kg. Baru, Kuala Lumpur, it was reported you had allegedly drawn out your keris and made some remarks about the Chinese. You had vowed to send the Malaysian Chinese back to mainland China. We have not forgotten that.

You have made too many U-turns to keep your political career to date. Did you not make plenty of U-turns when some of the funds from 1MDB's former subsidiary SRC International Sdn Bhd ended up in your personal bank accounts? We know you’re already showing signs of desperation now.

Go ahead, you have some time, make all your speeches before you’re kicked out at the coming GE14. The new government will indeed bring justice.

Spinning: I thought in July 2015 our beloved PM said he would sue the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on “Tuesday”? Isn’t that a U-turn?

Basically: Perhaps they can hold a U-turn challenge to see who has turned more. Someone U-turned on his pre-election promises, U-turned on the promise to Hindraf after their memorandum of understanding (MOU) before the 13th general election, U-turned on abolishing the Sedition Act, which was at first called “archaic” but then U-turned to be made even stronger in the interest of “protecting national security” or whatever.

Someone also U-turned on not abolishing subsidies, on not raising highway tolls (they went up after the GE), on no Goods and Services Tax (GST) for prepaid phone cards (yeah, after an uproar now there is ‘no’ GST but the bumpkins cannot count that getting 6 percent less call time is already GST), U-turned on costs of goods and services not going up after GST (they all went up astronomically above 6 percent), U-turned on the cabinet decisions on unilateral conversion and the use of ‘Allah’ by Malay-speaking Christians...

They have a saying, those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Budak SRJK (C): This minority-elected PM of this increasingly blighted nation sounds very desperate. Isn't he already a big enough an international disgrace? Does he have to resort to such childish ‘tantrums’?

Well, nothing should surprise us any more. By the way, what’s wrong with having DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang as Pakatan deputy PM (DPM)? Isn’t he a Malaysian?

I’m sure Mr Lim would outdo and out-perform the current DPM, who had claimed to have met the “mythical” Saudi donor(s) of the 681 American pies found in his boss’s private AmBank bank accounts. Just name me one, just ONE, current Umno leader who has an ounce of credibility.

Anticonmen: Why criticise Kit Siang and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who are exemplary Malaysians who have sacrificed and displayed exemplary character, honesty and leadership? Criticise businessman Jho Low, who has allegedly stolen billions from the coffers.

Anonymous 2350931441161169: To U-turn to go to the right path is perfectly fine. To deliberately make the rakyat’s money make numerous U-turns to end up in one’s own pockets is shameful, disgusting and a heinous haram sin.

Just Sharing: Mr PM, please focus on your job. The people are suffering and the economy is going downhill. Stop all the nonsensical politics that you are playing right now.
