Throwing a grenade into a crowd is an act of terror
ADS

YOURSAY | ‘Who are the people who can easily get hold of hand grenades?’

Eight injured in ‘hand-grenade explosion’ outside nightspot

SimonTi: Thanks to extremists who spew hate speech and advocate violence and bloodshed against infidels with impunity.

These bigots, closet terrorists and Islamic State (IS) sympathisers think they can threaten the non-Muslims as well as good Muslims.

This is apparently with tacit support from the authorities, who condone their hate speech and refuse to nip in the bud such obvious acts of intimidation.

But they are wrong as Malaysia has a small economy and is vulnerable. They will only destabilise and destroy the whole country.

There will be capital flight, collapse of the economy, bombings/suicide bombers, and wholesale slaughter of the innocents, like in Orlando, Paris, Jakarta, etc.

If the Muslim authorities fail or refuse to act against their fellow Muslims advocating violence and bloodshed against the kafir harbi, it would only add fuel to the fire inflaming the country, where the main losers will include good Muslims.

6th Generation Immigrant: In the people's views, the definition of terrorism is “the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims”.

The keyword is "intimidation", just in case the police miss that all-important word.

Anonymous #28648954: Immediately after the incident, police confidently said it was not an act of terror.

Congratulations to the police. They must be the most effective and efficient police force in the world.

Anonymous 2353861441183710: On what basis can the police determine at this stage that this is not an act of terror?

AJ: A hand grenade is not an act of terror? What was it then? Friendly fire?

MYComment: If the conclusion is it's not an act of terror, could it be an act of kindness?

Anonymous #37634848: Could the bomb be the act of gangsters? We jump to conclusions very fast, and allow our mind to grab at shadows.

Ib: Where are the moderate Muslims? If you don't believe in killing people of other religions, you need to come out and drown out the ones calling for the killings. It is that simple.

Not a single MP or minister has lifted a finger to demand that those inciting violence be arrested.

Fair&Just: What's there to correct? Leave and emigrate.

Also foreign investors will be the first to leave if their people and assets are threatened with annihilation.

Tok Karut: "A security guard saw smoke... after the explosion". News, huh?

Police will say that it’s a private dispute involving unpaid sums of money - like the Bukit Bintang incident.

Drngsc: Please act fast, IGP (inspector-general of police). Please investigate the Pahang mufti as well. We are very concerned. What he said was very dangerous.

Obiwan: There is a dark hand behind this. It is obvious who will benefit from the fear generated.

Malaysia is in for a very difficult time ahead. But we must not give up hope in trying our utmost to correct the ills of the country.

Senior Citizen: I hope this is not the work of somebody creating a reason to enforce the new National Security Council (NSC) act.

Hardboiled: Dear DAP Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo, your constituency may be annexed as a security zone. Guess who would be the real terror then?

Citizen_Zero: Could be something else, you say? Grandstanding underworld turf war?

Poverty-stricken looney who cannot comprehend or communicate, full of fear and insecurity and emboldened by what the mufti said?

Either way it points to the same thing: It's exactly what Najib wants. NSC is just a matter of when, where and how.

We have to take the power back. What is stronger than Umno money? And what is stronger than Umno lies?

CucuMalaysia: One question - who are the people who can easily get hold of hand grenades?
