KJ, your voters are from ‘lowest of the low’
ADS

YOURSAY ‘Is this the respect you have for your Umno grassroots?’

KJ: Why quote 'lowest form of creature' in Umno?

Negarawan: "I think he is the lowest form of creature in Umno,” party Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin Khairy said of branch leader Syed Rosli Jamalullail.

This social-class mentality and attitude of Umno's so-called leaders towards its own kind is the reason why the World Bank reported that income disparity within the Malay group itself is more than 90 percent.

Under Umno, the rich Malays get richer and the poor get poorer. Clearly, Umno is a self-serving and corrupt party.

Old Timer: Wow, is this how the leaders in Umno view their members? I hope there is something wrong with the translation, or else I am really glad that I don't qualify to join Umno.

I think that good ideas can come from anyone, including “lowest of the low”, and it will serve Khairy well to be a good listener.

If Khairy is paid any kind of salary with taxpayers’ money, I think he should quit if he thinks so badly of some people.

Man on the Street: The vote from the lowest is counted but the voice from the lowest rank is worthless. Khairy, this is what you claim to be Umno democracy?

KB Menon: KJ, do you now get that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach that you have put foot in mouth big time?

As a leader, you have no business calling one of Umno Baru's grassroots (meaning holding no positions) the 'lowest form of creature'.

It sure does not reflect well on you and your Oxford education. All Umno Baru grassroots, please take note. Take him to task for this statement.

Marde Parde: Khairy, is this the respect you have for your Umno grassroots, calling them creatures just because he challenged you at one time and is now challenging your boss?

If an Umno member is a lowest creature than you and PM are leaders of these lowest creatures, where does that place you?

Mosquitobrain: KJ, if I throw a stone into a crowd, most probably the stone will land on one of the datuk's head.

Nowadays, you can see datuk everywhere. It too common, it is too cheap. It can be bought and the title commands nothing. I can bet some even cannot write.

KJ, it is pathetic for you to think and say that whatever a person with datukship writes will carry weigh.

So in another word, all Umno members must at least carry a title so as to qualify them to write and criticise their leaders. So KJ, you too can shut up.

Liew Lean Kut: KJ, whether his statement has substance is not for you to judge, the fact is your members whether high or low is acting against your ‘tailo’ (boss), the man from Penang even went to make a police report against a company headed by your ‘tailo’, it shows the members of your organisation is starting to rebel against its president.

Something in your organisation is not right. Is it that the roof is coming down?

Bash: KJ, please do not belittle others. Don't you and most of us come from humble beginnings?

They say 'don't talk down on others while you are on the way up' and 'the higher you climb, the harder you shall fall'.

Ahmad Maslan: 1MDB has no big problems

Sirach: Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan tries hard to convince that all's well with 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad) without specifically addressing the issues which gave rise to the misgivings in the first place.

The rakyat want clear answers to the questions raised. How can he say "I hope he gets the correct information on 1MDB" when he does not furnish such information or, one suspects, he himself does not have such information?

Saying "The assets are good, I'm sure they will rise again" is hardly satisfactory. Bland rhetoric empty of substance just won't do.

Teropong Dunia: 1MDB have never missed a payment schedule, and its consistent ability to raise funds on the international markets and from quality investors, reflects the confidence that they place in the company.

Clearwater: The RM40 billion debt is obviously a small problem to Ahmad Maslan. He must think 1MDB doesn’t need to repay it. Not to mention the mind-boggling leakages that came with the borrowing and refinancing.

Well Thats Fantastic: How on earth is this man is in the Finance Ministry when RM40 billion debt isn't a big deal? What would happen to us all if this actually does collapse?

And don't say it can't because these things often do, it's all about risk after all.
