YOURSAY ‘The grassroots elected you Zahid, so why say only God can judge?’

Zahid: Besides Allah, only PM can judge us

Vijay47: Almost every single one of these Umno politicians cannot string two words together without mentioning Allah at least three times, suggesting their intimate relationship with God and how snugly they are perched on his right side as paragons of righteous conduct and values.

Ever the loyal servant or rather, adoring devotee, Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will score highly with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, now that he has blessed his boss with the same divine right and authority to judge that he concedes to God.

Similarly, we mortal rakyat will be assured and comforted by Zahid's adherence to democratic principles when he generously accepted political scientist Jayum Jawan's comments and revealed that "this is a personal right because this is a free country."

PKR’s Padang Serai MP N Surendran’s Sedition Act trials and tribulations are over, the home minister has seen the heavenly light.

Legit: Jayum is too kind with his criticism saying that the Umno vice-presidents are too quick to comment.

Basically these leaders do not have the quality, decorum, intelligence, pragmatism, broad mindedness, personality, charisma, integrity and the wherewithal to be the prime minister - not that the current one has all these qualities either.

The Malaysian electoral system is such that the Malaysian people do not get to elect their PM and other senior leaders directly as they are elected by a bunch of uninformed and not-so-highly educated Umno warlords mainly from the rural areas.

So Jayum, we will never get the leaders we want.

Man on the Street: This Umno vice-president is getting worked up by a statement from an academic. Zahid, are you upset because it is true?

Are you implying that the grassroots and divisional chiefs cannot evaluate you? Anyway, who elected you? Are you under the delusion that you are elected by God?

Old Timer: Are Umno vice-presidents' salaries paid with taxpayers’ money? If they are, then beside their boss, Najib, the taxpayers - the real employers - have a right to judge their performance.

Besides the taxpayers have a right to judge the results, especially since after all the vice-presidents of Umno are also working for the people.

GrooTheWanderer: Zahid is talking utter rubbish, but it is good he is in Umno because he will help bring the downfall of the present government due to their incompetency.

While some of us cannot wait for the next world and to meet Allah, in this world, the people will judge you because they are the one who elected you and the government.

The Analyser: The PM is the employee of the people. It is not for him to judge us; it is our job to judge him.

Najib is obviously having Mahathirist delusions thinking that he is the earthly representation of God.

Neither Allah, nor the royals nor the PM has any role in the judgement of people. All this business about judgement is the sort of scaremongering used by religious indoctrinators to coerce young children into believing.

The fact that some adults still believe is testimony of the indoctrination powers of religion and it has nothing to do with God.

Mushiro: Saying that “Apart from Allah, only Najib can evaluate the performance of Umno vice-presidents” is arrogance, very disrespectful of Allah and bordering on 'syirik'.

There is a limit to apple polishing. Zahid is making a mockery of Islam and insulting Muslims.

This is a good case for Jakim (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) to investigate Zahid. But will Jakim do it?

Retnam: Indeed, Zahid is equating Allah with PM. Charge him with sedition for insulting Allah.

Perkasa turns the tables on Zahid's 'thing'

Dont Just Talk: Former EC chairperson Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman was sour about not receiving the ‘things’ he had asked for and hence launched a tirade against Najib, as alleged by Home Minister Ahmad Zahid.

What a shame for throwing tantrums like a spoilt brat when things did not go his way but

who can blame Abdul Rashid, when others were more fortunate than him?

Gerard Lourdesamy: The former EC chief should declare his assets if he has nothing to hide. Perkasa has no standing to dictate terms to the PM and Umno.

If you think you can serve the Malay agenda better, then you can go register yourself as a political party and challenge Umno in GE14.

In fact the majority of Ibrahim Ali's business partners and associates are Chinese and he explains this away by saying "business is business and politics is politics".

If that is not shallow and base hypocrisy, I do not know what is. On this issue, Zahid has my vote.

Pemerhati: Rashid probably rightly feels that he deserves a similar or very much larger reward as he helped Umno win elections through various crooked strategies such as gerrymandering, phantom voting, etc.

If Najib gave Rashid nothing for all the extra effort he put in to help Umno to win the elections, which then gave them the opportunity to steal billions, his hurt and anger at not being given the opportunity to make some easy millions through negotiated contracts or other crooked methods, is understandable.

Anak Negara: The "things" that they said, the "things" that they do, the "things" that they have, and the "things" that they want, say a lot about what Umno and their ilks think about things.
