YOURSAY ‘It’s embarrassing and casts doubts on its ability to rule.’

Latheefa Koya mocked as 'lawyer datang bulan'

Jesse: It is disgraceful to make such an uncalled for comment, and coming from another woman, it is shocking. It does show an absence of class and good upbringing. It is shameful even if she does not feel the same.

It seems to be the culture in Parliament among government MPs but now it involves women who supposedly hold positions of responsibility. Respond to issues and not to such horrible comments. Listen! Listen! Listen!

Pputeh: I don't understand why Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is so stubborn. Your party placed you as MB and now it wants to remove you. Are you bigger than the party itself?

Why are you creating all these problems? It looks like your ultimate aim is this - ‘if I can't have what I want, then no one can have it too’. What a selfish man we have in this person.

Anonymous_1371482984: As a professional, I am surprised, nay disgusted, that Khalid is not playing according to party principles.

Once you have lost the confidence of the party that nominated you, you go like a gentleman.

You may be an honest leader or have no scandals but the party that puts you there has every right to remove you, irrespective of whether you have done a good job or not.

PKR should now move for a vote of no confidence against Khalid in the Selangor assembly.

WDA : Pakatan Rakyat, especially PKR, is looking really bad lately. The constant public infighting is embarrassing and sheds a bad light on the coalition's ability to rule.

They are supposed to regroup, restrategise and gain strength after GE13 to face GE14. Instead, we see them go down a slippery slope.

If this continues, BN will continue to rule for a long time. Pakatan has to buck up or there will be a serious need for a third force.

Drngsc: Khalid has to go. Having an Umno Trojan horse in Pakatan is worse and more risky than Pakatan breaking up or facing another state election. Khalid was a good one-term MB.

But he was caught with his pants down on the Bank Islam loan and has been ‘turned over’ by Umno. Dear press secretary Arfa'eza Abdul Aziz, please ask Khalid to explain publicly his Bank Islam loan settlement, which was done in great secrecy.

Anonymous_1371477558: Coming back to this RM66 million question, I just wonder why PKR chose Khalid as MB in the first place. Did PKR screen him well before nominating him?

If it was already common knowledge to the inner circle of PKR, why was this is kept secret from us? Isn't corruption what we are accusing BN of practising?

Supercession: Khalid and company are becoming more Umno than Umno by the day. If this continues, Pakatan will lose Selangor, which is exactly what Umno - as well as Umno-compromised Khalid and intelligence-challenged PAS, apparently, are hoping for.

Ferdtan: PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat said that there was no reason to replace Khalid. I have one, and that is the opinion of most Selangoreans, including lawyer Latheefa Koya.

As raised by her, how does a person who has a RM66 million lawsuit with Bank Islam for more than seven years, suddenly gets it settled out of court?

As the MB is a public figure, the people have the right to ask for clarification but Khalid has revealed practically nothing.

After a series of unpopular decisions and actions made by Khalid which do not benefit Pakatan supporters, we have serious doubts in MB’s integrity. Till today he has not cleared this allegation.

How we can have that when a head of government, an MB, who has a serious personal allegation made against him does not bothered to clarify to the satisfaction of the Selangor citizens?

This is one battle PKR and party de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim cannot afford to lose, with or without PAS support. Khalid must be made to go for his insubordination against his own party by refusing to vacate his position.

The survival of PKR depends on this issue. If you let one leader, any leader, who undermines/disobeys the party and get away with it, then the party will break apart.

Khalid is not bigger than the party even if an outsider, PAS, throws its support behind him.

Skong: Khalid must go. As for PAS, there will be lots of "spoilt" votes where they field their candidates if they do not change.

LAWofKARMA: Yes, It's time Khalid explain his involvement in the Bank Islam settlement. Otherwise as pointed out by Latheefa, "When a person has a RM66 million headache, he can cut a deal in many ways.”

Unless and until Khalid opens himself and be transparent on this Bank Islam case, there's simply too much room for suspicion. Whatever it is, Khalid has to step down gracefully.

Onyourtoes: Maybe now we can understand better why Selangor has refused to return the copies of the bibles. Maybe it was PAS working together with Khalid. I think Pakatan is a goner with PAS in it.

PKR and DAP, please don't ever forget, next time put up your own candidates as MB of Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu. Never trust PAS, its parochial agenda is just too strong.
