Ibrahim Ali backs ex-CJ in Penang row
Turvy: Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali, I come in peace on this holy festival to tell you that the greatness of Islam is manifest in its universality, its compassion and its concern for the brotherhood of man.
Its message hums across the centuries. It needs neither you nor the retired chief justice to defend or protect it. You are puny mortals who have not even understood what a great religion Islam is.
That you can be so pompous and pretentious to claim that you are defenders amounts to an ignorance of the faith and borders on heresy.
In the presence of true adherents, like Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat, the greatness of the religion touches you in your heart and makes you submit to it. On the other hand, your words and actions reveal only your ignorance and the hatred you bear in your heart.

The above statement is seditious and if the authorities do not curb it, we are definitely courting discord and trouble.
CiViC: I like Ibrahim Ali’s comment: "Muslims are the majority in the country. Placing Islam at the same level as others is belittling the religion."
It just shows their true colours, not Islam's but these particular individuals. It is people like these who are "belittling" and embarrassing Islam, they think Islam needs their protection, and that effectively placed them above the religion.
It is the religion that makes the person, not the other way around.

This is something that the PM and his cabinet are allowing by keeping quiet. They are not being patient but are encouraging it.
Malaysians can think. Let Ibrahim Ali ask for a White Paper allocations by all states and Putrajaya for all religious activities, if BN dare. Ibrahim exposes Islam to ridicule and shame while touting himself as its defender.
He actually says Islam is unjust and needing more money and attention than others. Why didn't the ex-mufti speak up earlier as he was chosen and report to the Agong even as we see some state muftis unwisely vocal and publicity hungry?
Ibrahim Ali defends Hamid's second public lie by calling false accusations a reminder, and thereby prove some Muslims lie unashamedly. Despite Joseph Kurup calling him a friend , Ibrahim Ali thinks nothing of him or the eunuch parties in BN.
Angry Citizen: Can we really expect anything from this man masquerading as an educated leader and protector of his people.
But what is disturbing is the quiet from the majority of our Malay brothers and sisters and by keeping silent are they not allowing these men to damage the very fabric of our society and therein lies the real danger as history as shown time and again when good people keep silent on matters of good and evil, right and wrong, decency and incivility, open mindedness and bigotry, men like Ibrahim Ali can and will destroy nations.

Just because Malaysia has accorded the official status to Islam, it does not denigrate other religions and their practices.
Ibrahim Ali is biggest bigot and a racist. I am sure the thousands of Malays who are silent but do not agree to what is being said by Ibrahim Ali, CJ Hamid and other ignorant members of Perkasa and Isma.
Anak, Bangsa, Malaysia: Ibrahim Ali is dumb and talking rubbish. Islam is not above other religions. The constitution say that Islam is the religion of the federation but that does not make it superior that others.
Anyway, if all can come together and pray, not to mention who prays first or second, it would be great. I have seen Indonesian movies where the different religious come together and pray as a unit.

Now, if we view the ranting of Isma, Ibrahim Ali, the ex-CJ, Hasan Ali, Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, Zulkifli Noordin, Zainuddin Maidin, etc, I often wonder whether they are a fair representation of the psyche of the silent majority of Muslim Malaysians in the country.
If they are, what hope is there left for the nation to take the leap forward with the other communities in spiritual and economic development?
