YOURSAY 'Pakatan can win Selangor with just the Erdogans from PAS.'

Pakatan breakup not ruled out, says Guan Eng

Ferdtan: Oh my gosh, I spoke too soon: I have just mentioned about breaking up of Pakatan Rakyat in my earlier comment if PAS did not support the ousting of Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim.

Now DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is officially warning the possibility of it, giving reasons of PAS not sticking to their agreements for decisions made with the coalition.

PAS, you decide once and for all - choose Pakatan or BN. We are now in the state of a two-party system. No party can survive on their own, away from either of the two opposing coalitions.

We call upon all moderate/progressive PAS members/leaders (they are many in the party) to voice out. Yes, respecting your leader is good but when they are wrong or detrimental to the party/coalition, you owe your duty as elected leaders to speak out.

We shall not condemn the party yet until the final decision is made. We hope good sense shall prevail, like before.

Sleepy: I believe what Lim said is the sad reality. Not because of the menteri besar removal but because overall, DAP and PAS are at the opposite ends of each other. Their party ideologies are too fundamentally different.

For now as it stands, I will support PKR because I see PKR as moderate and their problems manageable. We may have to start all over again, but as I have said fundamental changes are slow and never easy.

Senior Citizen: Indeed, I am afraid what Lim said is true. Let PAS go on its own way. It's a pity though because thousands of non-Malays supported PAS at the last elections. Now we are betrayed by the same PAS.

It's okay, Pakatan can still exist and become stronger wirth PSM, DAP and PKR together. Let the Sarawak and Sabah parties come and join Pakatan. And let the moderate PAS members join PKR.

Honestly PAS is a misfit in Pakatan. Let them go their own away.

JMC: Troubled days are ahead for Pakatan and sad days for the people of Selangor in particular, and the country in general.

This change in position of PAS is not unexpected, going by the way Umno has been trying woo it with its religious policies. It is disappointing that PAS could fall for the trap set by Umno.

The hopes of the people are being shattered - Khalid Ibrahim will be responsible for breaking up Pakatan with the help of PAS and they both will go down in history as having done a great disservice to the nation and the people.

Louis: I think this is the best thing to do. There is no use telling PAS always that they must abide by decisions agreed by the coalition. PAS never learns. It has lost Kedah, Terengganu and most probably would lose Kelantan in the next GE.

With PAS, I believe Pakatan will be dragged down into the quicksand.

Ronald: If need be, I say good riddance to bad rubbish. If Pakatan has to start from scratch again, so be it.

PAS has always paid lip service to the non-Malays. Well so be it, PAS, if you want to go your way, please go.

Swipenter: Those who assume the role of Allah/God on earth have always made a mess out of their countries all over the world with untold human sufferings and miseries past, present and future.

There are plenty of examples. Only their rulers and their inner circle of lackeys get to enjoy immense worldly pleasures, but at the same time tell the masses that heavenly rewards await them if they obey the laws, rules and regulations set by them without question.

They do not tolerate any form of dissent and universal suffrage is never in their dictionary. That is why religion is the opiate of the masses. If the break up of Pakatan is 'God's will', so be it.

Onyourtoes: Please face reality, dealing with mullahs can never be a long-term solution. They are obstinate people who are totally out of sync with others, and yet continue to think they are the centre of the universe.

It’s time to deal with them sternly and decisively - to break up PAS, take the Erdogan and dump the mullahs with their donkeys. Pakatan can win Selangor with just the Erdogans from PAS.

Malaysia Bersatu: I think Pakatan needs to purge PAS. It is no use placating PAS. It is very obvious PAS is playing both sides.

PAS forgets that many of their seats were won with the support of the non-Malays, without which PAS will be only a provincial party.

Now PKR and DAP have to think deeply on how to handle this matter. One thing is very clear, PAS is divided into two groups. There are the moderates who are dead set against corruption and against Umno.

Then there are the fanatical who are dead against the non-Muslims and don't mind to collaborate with Umno and their evil ways, and joins hands with Umno to achieve their own goal.

It is better and healthier for Pakatan to purge PAS and form an alliance with PAS Baru.

Breakup of Pakatan will be BN gain
