YOURSAY 'Shahrizat must be a great asset to Najib; otherwise he would not take so much trouble at great risk in getting her to be retained at the helm of Wanita wing.'

Najib again skirts around Shahrizat's appointment

your say Ferdtan: There must be a dearth of capable Umno Wanita leaders that PM Najib Razak has to face criticisms for trying to resurrect the waning political career of Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

Her political life spiraled downwards due to the scandal of National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) whereby her husband was involved.

Shahrizat must be a great asset to Najib; otherwise he would not take so much trouble at great risk in getting her to be retained at the helm of Wanita wing and possibly later to be included in the cabinet.

Has she much influence with the voting Wanita delegates that Najib is wooing? It looks like it, tainted or not.

Najib first appointed her through the backdoor after 2008 GE when she lost the election. Even when NFC scandal hit the headlines, her cabinet post was reserved for her when Najib unprecedentedly stood in as the women, family and community development minister.

It was obvious that Najib did not want another party Wanita leader to replace Shahrizat.

Former Umno Wanita deputy chief Kamilia Ibrahim was the only leader who dared to criticise Shahrizat and see what happened - she was not selected by Najib to stand as parliamentarian in the recent GE. She contested as independent and was sacked from Umno.

Dappy: Obviously, Najib's dark secrets are in Shahrizat's hands. Which is why she and her family remain arrogant as they are untouchable.

She and her family can even pocket our RM250 million without any worries of paying back. Our country is now lawless and robbers are having a field day.

Multi Racial: If the PM's primary concern is about what is good for the country and Malaysians, then the issue of Shahrizat does not arise.

This is because he will never appoint anybody who is tainted or has a credibility problem to any important post. He probably demand Shahrizat to resign from all positions, including those in Umno.

Unfortunately we do not have such courageous person in charge of our country. Maybe it is time for us to pray for one.

Kingfisher: "Why are you interested in her? ask Najib. The whole nation should shout in his ears till he gets deaf that we are not "interested" in her, but are deeply and dismally worried about what he is not doing as PM for the well-being of this nation.

What a pathetic figure he has turned out to be after all the hype about him being the 'new' 1Malaysia man.

SS Dhaliwal: Of course Najib, we are interested in her. In any case, we are also interested in your corruption and murder allegations too, so don't you skirt around.

Go to France to assist the prosecution into your dubious Scorpene submarine deal and stop hiding under your wife's skirt all the time.

Louis: Why can't Najib be more frank in his answer on Sharizat? I just answer yes or no. Simple as that.

The way he answered showed that her appointment, if true, is highly controversial and not welcomed. He knows it, and yet he still wants her for reasons best known to him.

Anonymous_3da6: Najib should answer the way Tourism Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz did:

"I am the PM of Bolehland. It is my prerogative. I don't care what all of you say or think. I can pick whoever I like. I know all the people are behind me as they elected me to be PM. What can all of you do?"

This will shut up all the protestors and journalists.

James1067: As the embers of the RM250 million fire have not been put off, the public are now put into a position where they have to fork out more money.

What else have been promised beside the salary and perks in exchange for her loyalty at the coming elections? It looks like Wanita Umno has no capable leaders but is relying on rejected politicians.

Heavywater: Najib is so sacred of the 'old horses' in Umno as they are the one that will turn on him in the next party election. So, he dares not sack and cannot do anything until his own seat is secured. A very sad man indeed.

Toonarmy: Even in Pakistan, President Pervez Musharraf has been charged with the murder of Benazir Bhutto. In Bolehland, the real murderers of Altantuya Shaariibuu remain free.

Thanks to the illegitimate regime, Bolehland has slipped behind yet another third-world country. At the rate we are sliding down the abyss, we'll be exporting maids to Indonesia and the Philippines in the not too distant future.

Onyourtoes: So Najib, how many do we have in total now the number of ministers and also those appointed with ministerial salary and perks?

Mr KJ John: Najib enjoys "skirting", pun intended.
